By accessing or using NaijaJob, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms of Service.

- Posting content, applying for jobs, or listing job openings
Age Requirement
You must be at least 18 years of age to use NaijaJob. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this Agreement.
2. Definitions
For purposes of these Terms, the following definitions apply:
"Account" means the unique account created by a User to access certain features of the Services.
"Content" means any text, images, videos, audio, code, data, or other materials that appear on, are uploaded to, or are transmitted through the Services.
"Employer" means any User who creates an account for the purpose of posting job listings, searching for candidates, or hiring personnel.
"Job Seeker" means any User who creates an account for the purpose of searching for employment opportunities, applying for jobs, or showcasing their professional profile.
"User Content" means any Content that Users submit, post, upload, or otherwise make available through the Services, including but not limited to job listings, resumes, profiles, applications, messages, and reviews.
"NaijaJob Content" means Content owned by or licensed to NaijaJob, including but not limited to the design, layout, look, appearance, graphics, and software of the Services.
"Third-Party Services" means services, content, or websites operated by third parties that are linked to or integrated with the Services.
"Intellectual Property Rights" means all worldwide rights under patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret, and any other intellectual property laws.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
To access certain features of NaijaJob, you must register for an account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain and promptly update your account information
- Maintain the security of your password
- Accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
3.2 Account Types
Job Seeker Accounts
Job Seeker accounts are for individuals seeking employment. You may only create one Job Seeker account per person. You agree to:
- Provide truthful information about your qualifications and experience
- Use your real name and identity
- Not impersonate any other person
- Keep your resume and profile information current
Employer Accounts
Employer accounts are for businesses and organizations seeking to hire. You represent and warrant that:
- You have the authority to bind the company/organization
- The company/organization is legally registered and operating
- All job postings are legitimate employment opportunities
- You comply with all applicable employment laws
3.3 Account Security
Your Responsibility
You are solely responsible for all activities that occur under your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to maintain account security.
To maintain account security:
- Use a strong, unique password
- Never share your password with anyone
- Log out after each session on shared devices
- Enable two-factor authentication if available
- Report suspicious activity immediately
3.4 Account Restrictions
You may not:
- Create multiple accounts for the same purpose
- Use another person's account without permission
- Create an account using false information
- Create an account if previously banned
- Buy, sell, rent, or lease access to your account
- Share your account credentials with others
4. User Obligations
4.1 General Obligations
By using NaijaJob, you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws
- Respect the rights and dignity of other users
- Use the Services only for lawful purposes
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Maintain professional conduct at all times
- Report violations of these Terms to NaijaJob
4.2 Content Standards
All User Content must:
- Be accurate and not misleading
- Not infringe any third party's rights
- Not contain viruses or malicious code
- Not violate any applicable laws
- Be appropriate for a professional environment
- Not contain discriminatory language
4.3 Professional Conduct
Users must maintain professional standards, including:
- Communicating respectfully with other users
- Honoring commitments made through the platform
- Responding to inquiries in a timely manner
- Providing honest feedback and reviews
- Not engaging in harassment or abuse
4.4 Compliance with Laws
You must comply with all applicable laws, including but not limited to:
- Nigerian Labor Act
- Data Protection Regulation (NDPR)
- Employment discrimination laws
- Tax laws and regulations
- Immigration laws (for international hiring)
- Anti-fraud and anti-corruption laws
5. Prohibited Conduct
Zero Tolerance Policy
NaijaJob maintains a zero-tolerance policy for certain violations. Engaging in prohibited conduct may result in immediate account termination and legal action.
5.1 Strictly Prohibited Activities
You are expressly prohibited from:
Fraudulent Activities:
- Posting fake job listings or employment scams
- Submitting false credentials or qualifications
- Impersonating another person or entity
- Creating fraudulent accounts
- Engaging in identity theft
- Money laundering or financial fraud
Illegal Activities:
- Posting jobs for illegal activities
- Human trafficking or exploitation
- Pyramid schemes or multi-level marketing scams
- Drug trafficking or illegal substances
- Weapons trafficking
- Any criminal activity
Discriminatory Conduct:
- Discrimination based on race, ethnicity, or national origin
- Gender, sexual orientation, or gender identity discrimination
- Religious discrimination
- Age discrimination
- Disability discrimination
- Any form of harassment or hate speech
Technical Abuse:
- Hacking, cracking, or unauthorized access
- Introducing viruses, malware, or malicious code
- Scraping or automated data collection
- Reverse engineering the platform
- Circumventing security measures
- Interfering with platform operations
Spam and Abuse:
- Sending unsolicited bulk messages
- Posting duplicate or repetitive content
- Using the platform for advertising unrelated services
- Manipulating search results or rankings
- Creating fake reviews or ratings
- Abusing reporting mechanisms
Exploitation:
- Soliciting personal information for improper purposes
- Requesting fees from job seekers for job applications
- Bait-and-switch job postings
- Work-from-home scams
- Advance fee fraud
- Romance or catfishing scams
5.2 Content Violations
You may not post or transmit Content that:
- Infringes intellectual property rights
- Contains explicit or pornographic material
- Promotes violence or self-harm
- Contains defamatory or libelous statements
- Violates privacy rights
- Is otherwise offensive or inappropriate
5.3 Platform Misuse
You may not:
- Use bots or automated tools without permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts
- Interfere with other users' use of the Services
- Collect user information without consent
- Reproduce, duplicate, or copy the Services
- Create derivative works based on the Services
5.4 Consequences of Violations
Violations of these prohibitions may result in:
- Content removal
- Account suspension or termination
- Ban from creating future accounts
- Legal action and prosecution
- Reporting to law enforcement
- Financial penalties and damages
6. Employer-Specific Terms
6.1 Job Posting Requirements
When posting jobs on NaijaJob, you represent and warrant that:
- The job posting is for a legitimate, currently available position
- You have the authority to hire for the position
- The job description is accurate and complete
- The compensation information is truthful
- The job complies with all employment laws
- The posting does not contain misleading information
6.2 Prohibited Job Postings
You may not post jobs that:
- Require illegal activities
- Discriminate against protected classes
- Require payment from applicants
- Are commission-only without disclosure
- Are for adult entertainment or escort services
- Involve work visa sponsorship fraud
- Are pyramid schemes or MLM schemes
- Misrepresent the nature of the work
6.3 Candidate Treatment
Employers must:
- Treat all candidates fairly and professionally
- Review applications in good faith

- Not discriminate based on protected characteristics
- Respond to qualified candidates in a reasonable timeframe
- Protect candidate privacy and personal information
- Not request inappropriate personal information
- Comply with all interview and hiring laws

- Evaluating candidates for posted positions
- Legitimate recruiting purposes
- Building a talent pool with consent
Employers may NOT:
- Share candidate data with third parties without consent
- Use candidate information for marketing purposes
- Sell or rent candidate databases
- Contact candidates for unrelated purposes
6.5 Verification
NaijaJob may require employers to verify their identity and business legitimacy. You agree to:
- Provide accurate business registration documents
- Verify company contact information
- Submit to identity verification processes
- Maintain current business information
Employer Obligations
Employers are solely responsible for compliance with all employment laws, including but not limited to labor laws, tax laws, immigration laws, and anti-discrimination laws. NaijaJob is not a party to any employment relationship and bears no responsibility for employer conduct.
7. Job Seeker-Specific Terms
7.1 Profile and Resume Standards
Job Seekers must:
- Provide accurate and truthful information
- Use real names and authentic credentials
- Not exaggerate qualifications or experience
- Update information regularly
- Not falsify employment history or education
- Own the rights to all uploaded content
7.2 Application Conduct
When applying for jobs, you agree to:
- Apply only for positions you are qualified for
- Tailor applications to specific positions
- Not send spam or mass applications
- Respond professionally to employer communications
- Attend scheduled interviews or provide advance notice
- Be honest during the interview process
- Honor job offers you accept
7.3 Prohibited Activities
Job Seekers may not:
- Create multiple profiles for the same person
- Apply for jobs you have no intention of accepting
- Use the platform to solicit employers for unrelated services
- Request money or payments from employers
- Share login credentials with recruiters or services
- Use automated tools to apply for jobs
7.4 Job Scam Awareness
Protect Yourself from Scams
Warning Signs: Be cautious of job offers that require upfront payment, promise unrealistic salaries, use unprofessional email addresses, or request excessive personal information early in the process.
To protect yourself:
- Never pay fees to apply for jobs
- Research companies before applying
- Be wary of too-good-to-be-true offers
- Report suspicious job postings immediately
- Never provide banking information during application
- Meet in public places for interviews when possible
7.5 No Guarantee of Employment
NaijaJob does not guarantee:
- That you will receive interview invitations
- That you will be hired for any position
- The accuracy of job postings
- The legitimacy of all employers
- Employment outcomes of any kind
8. Content and Intellectual Property
8.1 NaijaJob's Intellectual Property
NaijaJob and its licensors exclusively own all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services, including:
- All software, code, and technology
- Website design, layout, and graphics
- NaijaJob trademarks, logos, and branding
- Database structure and organization
- Algorithms and matching technology
- All original content created by NaijaJob
All Rights Reserved
The Services are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of any NaijaJob Content is strictly prohibited and may result in severe civil and criminal penalties.
8.2 Limited License to Use Services
Subject to these Terms, NaijaJob grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to:
- Access and use the Services for their intended purpose
- View and interact with NaijaJob Content
- Create and manage your account
This license does NOT include the right to:

- You are responsible for all taxes

9.3 Billing and Subscriptions
One-Time Payments:
- Charged immediately upon purchase
- Non-refundable except as required by law
- Valid for the specified duration
Recurring Subscriptions:
- Automatically renew until cancelled
- Charged at the beginning of each billing cycle
- You must cancel before renewal to avoid charges
- Cancellation takes effect at end of current period
- No partial refunds for unused time
9.4 Refund Policy

All sales are final. We do not offer refunds except in cases of technical failure on our part that prevents service delivery, or as required by applicable law.
Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion for:

Basic NaijaJob services are free, but:

- Free services are provided "as-is" without warranty
- We may convert free features to paid features
10. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
10.1 "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" Disclaimer
CRITICAL DISCLAIMER
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
NaijaJob does NOT warrant that:
- The Services will be uninterrupted or error-free
- Defects will be corrected
- The Services are free of viruses or harmful components
- Results from using the Services will meet your expectations
- All job postings are legitimate
- All users are who they claim to be
- Employment will result from using the Services
10.2 No Vetting of Users
NaijaJob is a platform connecting employers and job seekers. We:
- Do NOT conduct background checks on users
- Do NOT verify all credentials or qualifications
- Do NOT guarantee the legitimacy of job postings
- Do NOT endorse any user, employer, or job seeker
- Are NOT responsible for user conduct off-platform
- Do NOT mediate employment disputes
10.3 Third-Party Content and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or integrate with third-party services. NaijaJob:
- Is not responsible for third-party content
- Does not endorse third-party services
- Has no control over third-party practices
- Is not liable for third-party actions
10.4 Limitation of Liability
MAXIMUM LIABILITY CAP
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NAIJAJOB'S TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO NAIJAJOB IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ₦50,000 (FIFTY THOUSAND NAIRA).
IN NO EVENT SHALL NAIJAJOB BE LIABLE FOR:
- Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- Loss of profits, revenue, or business opportunities
- Loss of data or information
- Loss of reputation or goodwill
- Costs of substitute services
- Personal injury or property damage
- Employment decisions made by employers
- Actions or omissions of other users
- Fraudulent activities by third parties
- Employment relationship disputes
10.5 Exclusions and Limitations
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions or limitations of liability. In such jurisdictions, the above limitations may not apply to you, and our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT:

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless NaijaJob, LonerTech LTD, and our affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, licensors, and service providers from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from or related to your use of the Services.
This indemnification obligation applies to claims arising from or related to:
Your Conduct:
- Your use or misuse of the Services
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any laws or regulations
- Your negligent or willful misconduct
Your Content:
- User Content you submit or post
- Infringement of third-party intellectual property rights
- Defamatory, libelous, or illegal content
- Privacy violations related to your content
Your Interactions:
- Interactions with other users
- Employment relationships or disputes

- Contracts or agreements with other users
Third-Party Claims:
- Claims by users you interact with
- Claims by employees or candidates

- Paying all damages, settlements, and judgments
- Cooperating with NaijaJob's defense
- Not settling claims without our written consent

- Control the defense and settlement of any matter
- Require you to cooperate in the defense

This indemnification obligation survives:

- Cessation of your use of the Services
12. Termination
12.1 Termination by You
You may terminate your account at any time by:

- Following account closure procedures
Upon termination by you:
- Your access to the Services will end immediately
- Your profile and listings will be removed
- You will not receive refunds for paid services

12.2 Termination by NaijaJob
Our Termination Rights
NaijaJob reserves the right to suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice, at our sole discretion.
We may terminate or suspend your account for:
- Violation of these Terms
- Violation of applicable laws
- Fraudulent or illegal activity
- Abuse of the platform or other users
- Non-payment of fees
- Suspicious or harmful activity
- Complaints from other users
- Any reason at our discretion
12.3 Effects of Termination
Upon termination by either party:
- Your right to use the Services ends immediately
- All licenses granted to you terminate
- You must cease all use of the Services
- You remain liable for all obligations incurred
- Termination does not relieve payment obligations
- No refunds will be provided
12.4 Data Retention After Termination
After account termination:
- Most User Content will be deleted within 30 days
- Some data may be retained for legal compliance
- Backup copies may persist in our systems
- Aggregated/anonymized data may be retained indefinitely
- Data required for ongoing disputes will be preserved

13. Dispute Resolution
13.1 Informal Resolution
Before initiating formal proceedings, you agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally by:
- Contacting legal@naijajob.com.ng with a detailed description
- Providing your contact information and account details
- Explaining the nature of the dispute and desired resolution
- Engaging in good faith negotiations for 30 days
13.2 Mediation
If informal resolution fails, the parties agree to attempt mediation before litigation by:
- Jointly selecting a mediator
- Participating in good faith mediation
- Sharing mediation costs equally
13.3 Arbitration Agreement
Binding Arbitration
For disputes that cannot be resolved through informal resolution or mediation, you and NaijaJob agree to resolve disputes through binding arbitration rather than in court, except as provided below.
Arbitration Rules:
- Arbitration will be conducted in Lagos, Nigeria
- Arbitration will follow the Lagos Multi-Door Courthouse procedures
- The arbitrator's decision is final and binding
- Each party bears their own legal costs
- Arbitration fees will be split equally
Exceptions to Arbitration:
Disputes may be brought in court for:
- Intellectual property infringement
- Small claims court matters
- Injunctive or equitable relief
- Enforcement of arbitration awards
13.4 Class Action Waiver
NO CLASS ACTIONS
YOU AND NAIJAJOB AGREE THAT DISPUTES WILL BE RESOLVED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS AND NOT AS A CLASS ACTION, CONSOLIDATED ACTION, OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. YOU WAIVE THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST NAIJAJOB.
13.5 Time Limit for Claims
You must bring any claim within ONE (1) YEAR from when the claim arises. Claims brought after one year are permanently barred.
14. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
14.1 Applicable Law
These Terms and your use of the Services are governed by and construed in accordance with:
- The laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
- Lagos State laws where applicable
- International laws for cross-border matters
Without regard to:
- Conflict of law provisions
- The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods
14.2 Exclusive Jurisdiction
For disputes not subject to arbitration, you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of:
- The Federal High Court of Lagos State
- The High Court of Lagos State
You waive any objection to:
- Venue in Lagos State courts
- Personal jurisdiction in Lagos State
- Forum non conveniens
14.3 International Use
NaijaJob operates primarily in Nigeria. If you access the Services from outside Nigeria:
- You do so at your own risk
- You are responsible for compliance with local laws

- Addressing new features or functionality
- Clarifying existing provisions

- That provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary
- The remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect
- We will replace the invalid provision with a valid one that achieves the original intent
17.3 Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of NaijaJob.
17.4 Assignment
You may not assign or transfer these Terms or your rights and obligations under them without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction, including to any affiliate or successor in interest.
17.5 Force Majeure

- Natural disasters
- War or terrorism
- Riots or civil unrest
- Government actions
- Internet or telecommunications failures
- Pandemics or health emergencies
17.6 Third-Party Beneficiaries
These Terms do not create any third-party beneficiary rights except as expressly stated herein.

In interpreting these Terms:
- Headings are for convenience only and do not affect meaning
- The singular includes the plural and vice versa
- "Including" means "including but not limited to"
- "Or" is not exclusive

These Terms are written in English. Any translations are provided for convenience only. In case of conflict, the English version prevails.
17.9 Electronic Communications
By using the Services, you consent to receive electronic communications from us. These communications may include notices, agreements, disclosures, and other information. Electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that such communications be in writing.
17.10 No Agency
No agency, partnership, joint venture, or employment relationship is created between you and NaijaJob by these Terms or your use of the Services.

BY USING NAIJAJOB, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE, UNDERSTAND THEM, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THEM.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Services.
